The truck came with an extra transfer case which I was originally going to use for a crawl box, but ended up using it as my primary and using the case in the truck for the crawl box.
I just worked on cleaning it during my lunch breaks at work. I used a parts washer
, wire brush and a tooth brush
to get the majority of the grime off. After that I went over it with some electronics cleaner
to get the rest out.

It probably took about 3 weeks worth of lunch breaks to clean it, then it sat for a long time until I had the money to buy the gasket kit and the heavy duty shifter detent spring from Marlin Crawler.
The end result:
It was probably a little too clean, but it happened over a long period of time and I had nothing better to do. :)
